Welcome to the Cambridge Guitar Orchestra website. CGO was originally established in 1991 by Lorraine Eastwood and the late Chris Kilvington. We perform regularly in Cambridge and have given concerts elsewhere in the UK. The Orchestra has been a prize-winner at the National Guitar Orchestra Competition on several occasions.
Our good friend, Derek Hasted of the Hampshire Guitar Orchestra said of us in 2001 "CGO are very good! Their tone was quite unlike any other ensemble I've heard."
Our Musical Director is Peter Rueffer. We have approximately 20 members and welcome prospective members with suitable experience.
